How to Install Your Claude Skill — Practice Acceleration

Your download is a .zip file — you MUST extract it before uploading to Claude.

The skill file you downloaded from our site is wrapped in a .zip archive. Right-click the downloaded file and choose "Extract All" (Windows) or double-click it (Mac) to unzip it. Inside you'll find the actual skill file — that's the one you upload to Claude.

Find the .zip file in your Downloads folder. Right-click it and choose "Extract All" on Windows, or double-click it on Mac. This unpacks the actual skill file you'll upload to Claude in the next steps.

Why does this matter?

If you skip extracting and try to upload the original .zip from your downloads, Claude may reject it or behave unexpectedly. Always extract first, then upload the file from inside the extracted folder.

Go to Claude.ai and sign in

Open your web browser and go to claude.ai. Sign in to your account. If you don't have one yet, click "Sign up" — it's free to create.

Free plan works fine

PA skills work on the free Claude plan. Pro or Max plans give you more usage but aren't required to install or use skills.

Turn on "Code execution and file creation"

Click your profile circle (the small letter avatar at the bottom-left of the sidebar) → Settings → Capabilities. Find the toggle labelled "Code execution and file creation" and switch it ON. Skills require this — they won't appear without it.

Can't see the toggle?

If "Code execution and file creation" is missing or greyed out, refresh the page. On Team or Enterprise plans, your organisation owner may need to enable it first in Organisation settings.

Open Customize → Skills

In the left sidebar of Claude, click "Customize", then click "Skills". This is where all your installed skills live. Note: Skills are under Customize — not Settings.

Click "+" then "Upload a skill"

In the Skills page, click the "+" button, then choose "Upload a skill." A file picker will open. Navigate to the folder where you extracted the skill in Step 1, select the skill file, and click Open. Claude will install it automatically.

If you've grabbed multiple PA skills, just repeat steps 1 and 5 for each one — extract the .zip, then upload the file from inside. You only install each skill once.

Test it — start a new chat

Go back to the Claude home screen and click "New chat." Type the trigger phrase shown on the skill's download page (for example, PA BRAND BUILDER) and press Enter. Claude will greet you and begin the guided session!
